Ky Zarate

“I have always wanted to be in some sort of building. I grew up mostly around residential construction, so commercial is a whole new experience for me. I am excited to build on the lessons that I learned already this spring and begin to really apply that knowledge.”
Hailing from Victoria, TX, Ky is a lover of all things outdoors – hunting, fishing, and golf being his hobbies of choice. His passion spills over into his academic life as well – he loves being a part of the cherished traditions showcased at Texas A&M. When searching for an internship, what stood out to Ky about S. Watts Group was the family atmosphere fostered by our smaller, tight-knit company. He’s most excited to build on the lessons learned during his recent semester and apply that knowledge to the world of construction during his time with our team.

Gather ‘round and welcome the latest addition to our family at the S. Watts Group, Kaegan! Originally from Mont Belvieu, Texas, he made a big move over to Texas State. When he’s not casting a line, tracking game, or attending class, he’s soaking up the scenic views of the San Marcos River. What really sets Kaegan apart is his passion for construction. And now, joining our team, Kaegan is eager to get his hands dirty and dive into some real-life management situations. Alongside our Superintendents, he’s excited to see first-hand how these builds come together and make his mark on the construction industry! Let’s give a warm welcome to the newest addition to our team – Ethan! As he enters his Junior year at Texas State University, he is excited to delve into the construction internship with S. Watts Group. Calling the charming small town of Mont Belvieu, TX home, Ethan enjoys staying active and exploring new destinations. His outgoing personality and love for meeting people made him a great fit for our team. What first sparked his interest in construction, you may ask? It was his fascination with home building that led him here. As he joins us for the summer, Ethan is eager to tackle exciting new projects and hone his skills while working alongside a friendly group of professionals.

Whether you’re coordinating project timelines, managing schedules, or identifying cost-saving opportunities, you’ll be part of a supportive, dynamic team that’s committed to your success.

Our internship program provides a realistic view of working in a general contractor environment through meaningful, hands-on experiences. Our interns assume a wide variety of responsibilities during their time at S. Watts Group. Hear our former interns speak about their experience with S. Watts Group before coming on as full-time employees after graduation.
Apply to Our Construction Management Internship
The Construction Internship at S. Watts is open to junior and senior students studying construction management/science courses. Responsibilities include supporting the project management team through file management, document control (including submittals, RFIs, and change orders), and progress reporting.
