General Job Description
The Project Coordinator is responsible for the coordination of day-to-day activities of active Construction projects in consultation with the Project Manager, including coordinating meetings, organizing and maintaining project documentation, and creating and maintaining reports as needed to carry projects to successful completion from beginning to end.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Coordinate, organize, and distribute information and documents (including subcontracts, submittals for projects, change orders, status reports, RFIs and punch lists), and manage communication between architects, construction managers, property managers, engineers, internal team and subcontractors with accuracy.
- Coordinate project start up and project close following company checklist.
- Attend all construction meetings weekly or bi-weekly for projects, and update and distribute construction-meeting minutes.
- Attend project manager / project coordinator meetings and review and report on accounts receivable and committed costs.
- Create and manage the submittal and RFI logs for related specifications and issues for each project.
- Review and process all subcontractor contracts and invoices for accuracy and submit to Accounting for payment.
- Prepare and distribute owner monthly payment applications for all active projects and follow up on accounts receivables with owners for any past due payments.
- Distribute project plan revisions or addendums to subcontractors and internal team members and request updated changes in price or scope for the project.
- Input all subcontractor and owner change orders into Sage 100 Contractor/Master Builder and distribute accordingly. Create and maintain Change Order log for each project.
- Attend punch walks for all projects, type up punch item list, distribute to subcontractors with deadline to complete outstanding items.
- Upload and manage progress photos of projects.
- Ensure all close out documentation is received from subcontractors, and distribute close out binders to architect, construction manager, and client as requested.
Skills & Experience
- 2-5 years’ experience in a commercial general contractor project coordinator role
- Demonstrated ability to coordinate, organize, schedule and prioritize tasks. Ability to handle multiple priorities, duties, projects and responsibilities at once.
- Strong oral and written communication skills, and ability to communicate effectively with diverse project personnel.
- Strong general computers skills, demonstrated ability with MS Excel, Word, Adobe and Sage 100 Contractor/Master Builder, and ability to quickly learn and master new trade-related computer applications such as Plan Grid, Procore, and Newforma.

General Job Description
This position must demonstrate strong leadership, organizational and time management skills, as well as have strong communication and client service skills. The Superintendent provides on-site management and field supervision for all phases of construction/renovation projects and is responsible for insuring the highest quality and safety standards are maintained throughout the project. Superintendents exercise direct supervision over assigned crews and subcontractors from start to finish; providing direction, leadership, and guidance to employees and subcontractors, assisting them in planning, coordination and successful execution of their work in order to complete the project in a timely and economical manner with high standards of workmanship. Responsible for maximizing profits on assigned projects. The Superintendent will manage daily and weekly trade schedules, as well as on-site performance, ensure compliance with code and serve as contact point for all local and state inspectors.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Coordination and management of all on-site construction activities and subcontractors
- Attend and participate in project meetings, including subcontractor meetings
- Manage all scheduling with building management
- Demonstrate and maintain effective and open dialogue with project team regarding changes in work, job conditions and subcontractor relations
- Develop, maintain and communicate project schedule
- Update master schedule and develop three week look ahead schedule
- Schedule and coordinate all project inspections
- Manage and track material and headcount to ensure all deadlines are met
- Responsible for timely punch list completion
- Represent S. Watts Group in professional manner to clients, architects, subcontractors, vendors, and building management
- Ensure projects are completed on time and within budget
- Inspect the work of employees and subcontractors to ensure construction conforms to requirements of the Contract Documents and the quality needed to insure successful project completion.
- Ensure that all safety procedures and standards are followed within the guidelines of OSHA, federal, state, and local laws. Also includes instructing all subordinates in, and enforcing all OSHA safety requirements/guidelines, in addition to all company policies and procedures. The Superintendent will be held directly accountable for safety performance.
- Other duties as assigned.
Skills & Experience
- High School Diploma required; two years of college preferred or relevant work experience
- Must have 3 years of experience as lead superintendent on commercial interior, retail or building renovation projects
- Must be able to read and interpret drawings, prints, schematics and other written instructions
- Proven track record of client satisfaction and project profitability
- Must be able to practice and comprehend safe work procedures in accordance with OSHA, federal, state, and company policies.

- Computer knowledge and efficiency, including Microsoft Office products

The Construction Internship at S. Watts Group provides relevant field experience for junior or senior level construction management/science students. Our internship program provides a realistic view of what it’s like to work in a general contractor environment through meaningful, hands-on experiences. Our interns assume a wide variety of responsibilities during their time with S. Watts Group.
Duties & Responsibilities
Support the project management team with subcontractor and supplier coordination, material tracking, file management, document control (submittals, RFIs and change orders) and progress reporting.
Work with field supervision to assist with project layout, construction drawing and trade coordination, verification of field conditions and quality control.

Must be able to understand and communicate effectively with job site supervisors and fellow employees.
