April 2023 Update:
We are thrilled to share the latest updates on our exciting ground-up construction project in San Marcos, Opportunity Plaza. With the new year in full swing, our construction teams have worked hard and made significant progress. We’re pleased to report that windows, doors, and stunning stone siding have been expertly installed, adding to the overall aesthetic of the building.
Our current focus is on preparing the parking lot for asphalt and creating a beautiful, thoughtfully designed landscape that will enhance the property’s visual appeal. We’re also getting ready to install entryway elevators; excitingly, we’re almost finished with the electrical work.

November 2022 Update:
The walls are up at Opportunity Plaza in San Marcos! This three-story building will feature stone siding, ceiling-to-floor window details, and a mezzanine entry. In November, the S. Watts Crew installed windows, roofing, and flooring foundation ahead of concrete pours scheduled for the end of the year.
The next steps for this master-planned commercial campus include installing insulation, drywall, and utility infrastructure.
“We are very excited about the opportunity to partner with MDG to construct the next commercial property in the Whisper Development. It’s helpful to have a client who understands construction and is very involved in the process. Given this property's close proximity to IH-35, it will be visually appealing to people passing by and those entering the Whisper development on the main thoroughfare Opportunity Boulevard. This facility will help contribute to the need for professional office space in the Hays County Region while offering a residential component towards the back of the property.”
August 2022 Update:
The team at S. Watts Group is moving dirt and preparing to lay the foundation for Opportunity Plaza. We are currently constructing the first building while installing all the infrastructure for two additional buildings at Opportunity Plaza in San Marcos.

Briggs Equipment
Over the years, Briggs Equipment has opened several new locations as the company expands across the United States. One of the newest locations includes the New Braunfels office along Northbound IH-35. The project’s scope includes replacing interior electrical wiring and insulation, adding windows, industrial roll-up doors, reinforcing structural braces, and repainting the exterior structures.
J&S Leasing
Located near Mustang Ridge, off US Highway 183, S. Watts group completes a new ground-up building for J&S Leasing. The new office space is one of many in-progress projects our team is working on along the Innovation Corridor, the growing area along Interstate 35 and SH130.
