Amazon operates out of two locations in Hayes County, a newly built 855,000 square-foot fulfillment center in San Marcos and a leased 307,840 square-foot facility in Kyle, Texas.

In addition, Texas State has been designated an Emerging Research Institution and is the most significant influence of innovation in the area. Specific industries thriving in the Innovation Corridor include aerospace and aviation, security and defense, material and life sciences, information technology, and product distribution.
